This 60 credit program trains students to work professionally as school counselors in a K-12 school setting. Students will learn the theory and skills necessary to support diverse populations of students with various presenting issues, needs, and disabilities. The online School Counseling program is accredited by the CACREP, meaning that graduates will have met the educational requirements to pursue professional licensure as a school counselor.

Courses include: Ethical and Professional Orientation to Counseling; Theories and Techniques of Counseling; Introduction to School Counseling; Advanced School Counseling; Vocational Theory and Career Development; Multicultural and Gender Issues in Counseling; Counseling Children and Adolescents; Counseling Children with Special Needs; and Clinical Interventions in Events of Crisis, Grief, and Trauma.
